The YMCA Camp Sloper Outdoor Center is fortunate to have a dedicated and committed group of volunteers who are continually improving our facility for the campers and members of our YMCA. Our group meets a couple of Saturdays each month from 8:00am until 12:00pm. Community Service:
We have many opportunities and projects for teens and adults to complete community service hours for school, college, church or court appointed obligations. Eagle Scout Program:
The YMCA Camp Sloper Outdoor Center is proud to collaborate with local Boy Scout Troops to complete their Eagle Scout Projects. Committee & Sub Committee Volunteer Work:
The YMCA Camp Sloper Outdoor Center is governed by a group of volunteers who serve on the Outdoor Center Committee. We also have several sub-committees that focus on specific areas of our annual developments. These sub-committees include:

Teen Volunteer Program - Grades 6-10

Designed to help fulfill community service hours and give back to the community.  Members work on a variety of projects and tasks that positively affect the lives of others in our Y and our community.  Meets every Wednesday from 3-5PM, November through April.  Contact the Camp Office at 860-621-8194 to register or for more information.

Corporate Volunteer Partnerships:
We have formed several volunteer partnerships with local businesses including The Home Depot, The Hartford and ESPN.
