Have your event at YMCA Camp Sloper!
The YMCA Camp Sloper Outdoor Center has large and small pavilions available for one-day group rentals throughout the year for graduation parties, corporate get-togethers, family reunions, DIY birthday celebrations, and any other private event! Rentals are available for members and non-members. Bookings are available on the weekends throughout the year, and in the evenings during the summer. All rentals include exclusive use of a selected pavilion, picnic tables, and a grill upon request. Bathroom and changing room facilities are also available. Groups can be from 10-200 or more people. An additional fee is applied to groups over 200. All rentals require a signed contract and deposit. A Certificate of Liability Insurance may also be required. Please contact the camp office for availability.
YMCA Camp Sloper is an alcohol, tobacco, and drug free facility. Please take this into consideration when booking.

McLeod Pavilion
One of our large pavilions that can accommodate 200 or more people. This pavilion features electricity, an attached walk-in refrigerator, and full sized freezer. Closest to the main parking lot, and the main camp office is attached toward the front of the pavilion.
A short walk away from the East Coast bathroom facilities, Mamma Cass Playscape, Superslide, kickball field, volley ball court, and basketball courts.

Jacob Pavilion
A large pavilion that can accommodate 200 or more people. This pavilion features electricity, an attached walk-in refrigerator, and kitchenette with microwave and sink. The bathroom facilities are attached to this pavilion. Located more privately on the West Coast of camp, with a secondary parking lot for approximately 25 cars.
A short walk to Ninja Warrior Course, basketball courts, and West Coast fields.

Denorfia Pavilion
The "Birthday Party Pavilion" that can accommodate up to 60 people. This pavilion features electricity, and is located closest to many of the main camp activities. All outdoor birthday parties will be held in this pavilion. Other rental opportunities are available when the pavilion is not reserved for a birthday party.
A short walk away from the East Coast bathroom facilities, Mamma Cass Playscape, Crystal Mine, Superslide, Gladiator Village, Low Ropes Course, Teambuilding Obstacle Course, kickball field, volley ball court, and basketball courts.

Alumni Pavilion
This pavilion can accommodate up to 60 people. This pavilion features electricity, and is more privately located on the West Coast of Camp.
Adjacent to West Coast basketball courts and activity fields. Within walking distance to the secondary West Coast parking lot, and Jacob Pavilion bathroom facilities.

Pooler Pavilion
This pavilion can accommodate up to 40 people. This pavilion features electricity, a wrap around porch overlooking the water, and a working wood fireplace. It is privately located a short walk down the Green Trail on the East Coast side of camp.
Adjacent to the amphitheater, the East Coast bathrooms are the closest facilities.

Turtle Pavilion
This pavilion can accommodate up to 40 people. Featuring a covered area attached to a open "patio". Located on the West Coast of camp, this pavilion is a short walk from the secondary West Coast parking area and closest to the Jacob Pavilion bathroom facilities. This pavilion is adjacent to the West Coast basket ball courts and activity fields.

The Rossini Building is an enclosed, heated building that can accommodate up to 80 people. Located on the East Coast of camp, this building is centrally located near many camp activities. All rentals and birthday parties will be held in this building December through February unless a specific outdoor pavilion is requested in the winter months. The Rossini Building is available for events all year long.

What is your outside food policy?
Outside food is allowed at Sloper. Renters are more than welcome to have food brought in from a caterer or hire a *food truck service. *If you are hiring a food truck, YMCA Camp Sloper requires a certificate of liability insurance from the vendor.
Sloper also has two 6ft charcoal grills for rent. No outside grills can be brought in.
Our large pavilions (McLeod and Jacob) have walk-in refrigerators for food storage that comes with a rental.

Where do all my guests park?
YMCA Camp Sloper is lucky enough to be able to park over 300 cars on property using our expanded parking lot.
The main parking lot is located underneath the power lines and next to the Splash Pad.
Jacob Family Pavilion has its own smaller parking lot that can hold roughly 25 cars (located on the West Coast of camp).
All cars are only allowed to park in those two sections.
Does McLeod Pavilion have bathrooms?
There is one handicap accessible bathroom attached to McLeod pavilion, in addition, if you are renting McLeod Pavilion, you will have access to our indoor East Coast bathroom facility (the large Red building next to Denorfia pavilion).
What do I have access to with my rental?
If you are renting a pavilion/building, the following activities are open for you to use at no additional charge:
- Playscape & Swings, Superslide, Hiking Trails, Ninja Warrior Course, Fort Village, Gladiator Dodgeball Pits (Outdoor), Basketball and 4-Square Courts, Kickball Field, Open field spaces, Crystal Mine, Volleyball court
The following are things that are an additional cost and/or require Sloper Staff:
Climbing Tower & High Ropes Course, Tricycle Race Track, Low Ropes Obstacle Course, Teambuilding Challenge Course, the Sloper Express, Swimming & Boating,
How do I book a rental and what do I need to do?
To book a rental, please call the main office at 860-621-8194 to find out availability and talk rental details.
Information you would need to provide would be:
- Name
- Phone number
- Email Address
- Mailing Address
- Number of expected guests
- Type of rental (graduation, birthday, corporate retreat, etc)
- Preferred rental date
Sarah Dupre, our Office Administrator, will then compile all rental booking information into a Rental Contract. This rental contract will be sent to you (the renter) and must be sent back signed and with a deposit to finalize confirmation of your rental. Payment is due in full the day of the rental or before. Depending on the rental type, a Certificate of Liability Insurance may be required to be submitted before renting.
