Outdoor Center Programs

Camp doesn't end after day camp is over...join the Sloper team year round in a variety of seasonal part time positions.

There are many positions that are available throughout the year, some that change in with the seasons and others that are more constant all year.

Birthday Party StaffBecome a birthday party staff member and bring the joy of camp to every birthday kid. Sloper birthdays are predominately held on weekends and are conducted in 3 hour chunks. Depending on your certifications, you may lead a *Sloper Express party, Camp Mania, or even a *climbing tower party! Birthday parties happen all year round, but are most prominent during the spring, summer, and fall.

Team Building StaffThe Sloper Teambuilding season typically happens in the fall, but can be booked any time during the year. In this position, you would be leading small/large groups through a variety of teambuilding games and activities that challenge participants to work together in a variety of ways. Schools, corporate offices, sports teams, and local businesses are some of the groups we get year round. Staff are trained specifically on teaching and instructing group activities as well as debriefing skills.

Weekend SupervisorThe Weekend Supervisor's job is to be the leader of each weekend day: set up for rentals, assist with birthday parties as needed, patrol the property, complete maintenance tasks, and assist members with questions and problems that may arise. On most weekends April - November, there are multiple rentals/birthday parties each day.

School Group StaffSpring time brings end of the school year class days to YMCA Camp Sloper. During the months of May and June, schools from all over book field trips (during school hours, 9am-2pm) to Sloper for traditional camp activities like the Climbing Tower, Superslide, Volleyball, Kickball, and so much more. We consistently get two schools a day for roughly 5 weeks straight, some schools bringing over 100 students each.
